Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. has announced a reshuffle of its partners, who determine the company’s strategic direction, promoting the group’s soon-to-be chief executive to committee member, while bringing back a previously removed partner, as the e-commerce giant’s restructuring rolls on.

The new slate of Alibaba’s partnership committee – comprised of between five to seven members – now includes Eddie Wu, a co-founder of the company who will take over as the group’s CEO in September, as well as Shao Xiaofeng, Alibaba’s senior vice president and former chief risk officer, according to the group’s annual report for fiscal year 2023 released Friday.
